1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Phoneless Garden ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What Phoneless Garden Does

Phoneless Garden is a digital awareness tool. When you open a tracked app, it creates a brief pause — a moment of intention — before you continue. The App does not block access to any app or restrict your device usage.

Phoneless Garden is not a medical device, therapeutic tool, or substitute for professional advice. It makes no claims about health outcomes, screen time reduction, or behavioral change. Any insights shown in the App are observational only.

3. Who Can Use the App

You must be at least 13 years old to use Phoneless Garden. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the age of 13, you may not use the App.

If you are between 13 and 18, we encourage you to review these terms with a parent or guardian.

4. Your Account and Data

Phoneless Garden does not require you to create an account. There is no username, email, or password.

All usage data — tracked app activity, moments of intention, mood entries, and insights — is stored locally on your device. Phoneless Garden does not collect, transmit, or store this data on any server.

The App uses RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous identifier to your device for purchase validation. 5. Free and Premium Tiers

Phoneless Garden offers a free tier and a premium tier. All new users receive full premium access for a limited trial period. After the trial ends, you may continue using the free tier or subscribe to premium. Feature availability differs between tiers and is displayed in the App.

Trial Eligibility

Each user is eligible for one free trial. Reinstalling the App does not reset or extend your trial period.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing, you also agree to the terms of the applicable store.

Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

How to cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings (Apple: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions; Android: Google Play > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

Restore purchases: If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your subscription using the Restore Purchases option in the App's settings.

Phoneless Garden, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by the developer. This includes, without limitation, the Phoneless Garden name, logo, plant illustrations, and visual design elements. All rights are reserved. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

Phoneless Garden does not guarantee that:

The App relies on platform-specific APIs (Apple Screen Time API and Android UsageStats API) that have known limitations and may behave inconsistently across devices and OS versions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Phoneless Garden shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App.

The developer's total liability for any claim arising from or relating to these terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability under mandatory consumer protection laws of the European Union or Finland.

11. Deleting Your Data

12. Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. If we discontinue the premium service, active subscribers will not be charged for subsequent billing periods.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

For material changes, we will provide notice through the App or on our website.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or the App shall be resolved in the courts of Finland.

As a consumer in the European Union, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights granted by the laws of your country of residence.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

16. Waiver

Failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
